Today was our last day in Puerto Rico, and it was such a fantastic day, from start to finish. We all had fun jumping off of rocks into the cool waters of Las Tinajas de Ceiba and going down its natural water slide. Once we got back, we headed off to Pollo Tropical where they sell American Food while in America, they sell Spanish Food here in Puerto Rico. There was a good laugh about that one! There was a lot of laughter and joy throughout this whole trip, and it’s an experience none of us will ever forget. Only those who went on this mission trip will be able to really continue laughing and talking about the funny stories that happened here, sharing them with others. We will also be able to share the stories of the great people in Cristo Pobre, the amazing kids of Club Maravilla (VBS), and the brave veterans in the veterans home. We also celebrated Tavin’s 13th birthday, throwing him a little surprise party at the end of the day. Pastor Randy bought him this cool Puerto Rican wooden machete, everyone on the missions trip signing it and gave it to him at the party. He loved it. It was a great ending to the day, and we all leave back for the States tomorrow. God has had his angels watching over us this whole trip, and he is bringing us home. You’ve been kind to us Puerto Rico and I pray that in return, things stay kind to you.
