Day two here in Puerto Rico could have not gone any better. All of us at the camp grew closer to the kids at the daycare, receiving a lot of hugs, more than you can imagine. These kids are so special, each one unique in their own way. Some of them are gifted when it comes to sports, some are also gifted when it comes to music. Each and every one of us have that one kid that runs up to us, excited to see us. We played a numerous amount of fun games and did crafts, the kids enjoying every part of it. It was also great to see a few new kids come, giving us the chance to love on them as well. When it comes to the other projects, Group A continued the construction project, getting a lot done. A bunch of the roof is now sealed, now bringing down the chances of there never being a roof leak. Group B on the other hand, headed to the homeless shelter, experiencing what Group A has witnessed the day before. They enjoyed their time and engaged in conversation, listening to the stories of the people, taking in every word. Cristo Pobre, the shelter we have been working at, is able to house quite a few people. The shelter can fit thirty men, ten women, two families, and two handicaps, making it the ideal shelter. Cristo Pobre has given them hope. Even though we are doing small things, we are blessing those around us, achieving the goals we have set for this trip. All of us are learning something new each and everyday, and its been an honor to be here and to work with so many amazing people. So far this trip has been an eye-opener, making each and every one of us appreciate what we have. Just being able to reach out to the people of Puerto Rico has been amazing, and I can’t wait to see what God has in store for the rest of the days we are here.  -Alina Reynolds
