Over the first week of July, I had the privilege to hop on a plane, fly to the beautiful island of Puerto Rico and serve alongside of 44 incredible youth and adults at a ministry called Camp Caribe. At the camp, our main task was to put on a pair of gloves and use our muscles to do some manual labor. Within a short week, we got to

clean a school,

paint dorms,

form rebar,

mix cement,

move cinder blocks,

and build a wall.

We even saved three fishes!

From the beginning to the end of the week, we can see with our eyes the transformation around the campground. But what is more important, it is the invisible changes that our eyes cannot see. Every brush stroke, wire cut, and block move, the kingdom of God is advancing inch by inch, step by step. It is beyond our comprehension to fathom the impact from the little children who attend the summer camps to the families that live in the surrounding neighborhoods; even the youth and the adults themselves.

The love of Jesus is spreading and lives change forever.
