Today, many of us drove to Ponce.  We started out working in a homeless shelter feeding the homeless lunch.  A couple of us were needed to clean a bathroom, so I volunteered.

It was much worse than I expected.  Working for nearly an hour, we managed to finish without passing out!  But, the impact of that one little task was enormous.  One guy walked in when we were done and was stunned at the difference.  The toilet, sink and shower were clean.  The walls that were previously covered in unimaginable things were practically spotless.  I knew that what we had done, although simple, was worthwhile.

After lunch, we started street evangelism.  We would meditate on our own and try to understand where God was telling us to go and who to talk to.

I was skeptical at first, but the results were incredible!  We found whom we needed to talk to and they all said they needed our prayers.  One woman had all of us put our hands on her and pray for her.  Then, she proceeded to hug and kiss all of us!  She was so grateful!  It was an incredible and satisfying experience!
